1940's Photo Reveals Progenitor of Hipsterdom

Check out the photo above. Notice anything out of the ordinary? Or more precisely, anyone?

The tall, beshaded gentleman at the right of the photo appears a bit out of place, no? Or again, to be more precise, out of time. Does it not appear that he wandered off from Yeasayer's set at the Pitchfork Festival to take a whizz and get another PBR, stepped into a vacated port-a-potty which turned out to be some sort of magical time-travel vessel, and was transported back to 1940's Canada? Also, is there any doubt that from the waist down, he is clad in drab olive skinny jeans and brown suede wingtips?

The photo is from the virtual archives of the Bralorne Pioneer Museum in British Columbia, Canada. The caption reads "Reopening of the South Fork Bridge after flood in Nov. 1940. 1941 (?)" So what is the explanation for this hipster time traveler? Forgetomori conducts a rather thorough analysis of the photo, providing some fascinating context with clothing and hairstyles of the time, along with some other supposed time traveling myths and examples of "photo doctoring" for comparison. Check it here.

As for us, though we'd like to believe that the idea of a hipster time traveler is possible, the tall man's lack  of stylishly groomed facial hair seems to indicate that he is not of our time. Though if he was, and did travel back in time, he'd probably be able to build up a pretty sweet old-timey fixie.
