Rise and shine, peeps! This morning we bring you wild footage from this year's Cerro Abajo in Valparaiso, Chile. The annual downhill mountain bike race features a treaherous course that runs down the steep and narrow streets and sidewalks of this ancient port city in central Chile. The race features intentional obstacles like ramps and jumps as well as unintentional objects such as stray dogs and the throngs of spectators that line both sides of the course and appear to only be separated from the racers by the red or green string that marks the course.
Here's helmet cam footage of one participant's run. We recommend maximizing this on your monitor for the full, terrifying experience. Enjoy!
