Shoegaze band and noise rock innovators My Bloody Valentine will reissue their seminal albums Isn't Everything ('88) and Loveless ('91) on May 7. The band's label, Sony, will also release a compilation of the four EPs the band released between 1988 and 1991, which will include previously unreleased material and rare tracks. Gutarist/vocalist/mastermind Kevin Shields personally remastered both albums in London's Metropolis Studios.
While fans have been speculating for years over whether the band would release a long-awaited third album, this should satisfy diehards once again after the band reunited a few years back for an ear drum-shattering series of live shows.
Soft As Snow (But Warm Inside) is the lead track off Isn't Everything. I've always thought it would make the perfect soundtrack to a scene at a roller rink where two hipsters in love skate in circles while the disco ball swirls beads of light all around them. Are you reading this, Sofia Coppola?
Perhaps I'm way off. Have a listen for yourself...
