Diamond Dave's Middle Aged Cash Grab

As you may have heard, the the latest reincarnation of Van Halen just announced plans for a massive tour of North America's corporate-sponsored arenaplexes.  While David Lee Roth is onboard (and hopefully pulling this get-up out of mothballs), original bassist Michael Anthony has been replaced by yet another Van Halen, Eddie's son Wolfgang.  This pains us to hear, as Anthony's soaring harmonies were a critical component (along with Eddie's classically-influenced take on the guitar solo) of VH's recipe for pop-metal success.  Here's to hoping that Diamond Dave has been keeping himself limber...

Also, no word yet on whether Naughty By Nature will be the opening act but it has been confirmed by numerous sources that David Lee Roth is indeed down with "O.P.P.".
