Jaan Pehechan Ho, sing it with me!
If you're not familiar with "Jaan Pehechan Ho" by now, then you are not an astute observer of pop culture. Fortunately for you, geeks like us exist to assist you with such a glaring deficiency. "Jaan Pehechan Ho" is a tour-de-force musical number from the 1965 Bollywood film Gumnaam. It is performed by Mohammed Rafi and his backing band, Ted Lyons and his Cubs, and is accompanied by an elaborately and frantically choreographed dance routine as only Bollywood can do.
The performance was featured prominently in the opening scene of Terry Zwigoff's 2001 film, Ghost World, and has recently resurfaced as the soundtrack to a Heineken commercial. Watch the full version from the film below in all its giddy glory, and dig those Lone Ranger masks!
